  • BVSc

    Aaron graduated in 1996 from Massey University, beginning mixed practice with North Taranaki Veterinary Services. After seven years, he then spent two seasons on a 360 cow dairy farm as a lower order share-milker before returning to veterinary practice joining Inglewood Veterinary Services in 2005. He has a keen interest in all aspects of large animal practice, including mastitis. Aaron is a Director and the Farm Services Manager for EVT. When he is not at work he enjoys fishing, running and spending time with his wife Amanda and their family of six energetic children.



  • Cert. in Vet Nursing, Cert. in Agriculture

    Born and bred in Taranaki, Amy comes from a rural background where she has a lot of involvement in her families Dairy and Hereford Bull stud farms. She joined EVT in 2014 as a Rural Animal Technician after studying agriculture and then Vet Nursing for the previous 3 ½ years. As well as being out on farm doing routine calls such as vaccinating, teat-sealing, metri-checking and disbudding calves, Amy will often be seen in clinic assisting in the reception area also. Outside work, she is keen on breaking in and showing cattle, catching up with friends and family and is a member of the local Young Farmers Club.

    Barbs started at Energy Vets in Inglewood in April 2018. Prior to that she worked at Coastal Vets in Opunake for 10 years, so is a Coastal girl. Prior to that she was a bird breeder for 20 years. Barb enjoys walking their dog Ruby; the outdoors, gardening, cooking, going to the movies and generally just loves hanging out with her adult boys and family.

    Dominic graduated from Massey University in 1983 and moved to South Africa to work. After owning his own practice in Johannesburg for many years he decided to move back home and joined Energy Vets in March 2014. Dominic is a small animal vet with experience in medicine, surgery, radiology and dentistry. Outside work, Dominic gets outdoors when the weather is good but if it’s not his interests include reading, movies and music.

    Fanny joined our small animal team in Waitara from a busy Auckland practice in 2015. She graduated as a vet in Germany and came to New Zealand to undertake her New Zealand registration whilst working at a specialist practice in Auckland. Fanny brings some years of experience as both a vet nurse and a veterinarian to her role. In her spare time Fanny has an interest in juggling, acrobatics and also surfing.



  • BVSc. Cert CHP

    Greg qualified BVSc from Massey in 1985 and has been at Energy Vets since 1996. He is the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors for EVT. Greg is also still involved in clinical practice with special interests in dairy cattle and horses. Outside work, Greg and his family have a lifestyle block with cattle, sheep and horses and he is also involved with Alpine Search and Rescue.

    Hugh was raised in New Plymouth and attended Spotswood Primary and Secondary Schools. He trained in Palmerston North (Massey) as a vet, graduating in 1982, then worked in Perth for 35 years. Hugh became a partner in a 2 vet practice which grew to 13 vets and four centres by the time he left. Hugh has 2 adult children: a daughter, Brooke who does sports science and lives in Perth and a son, Ryan who is presently a pilot in Broome. He has returned to live in New Plymouth to worship the rain that he scorned as a child!



  • National Cert in Veterinary Nursing

    Kate joined Energy Vets Taranaki in 2013 after moving home to Taranaki from Melbourne, where she had been working as a Vet Nurse in busy small animal practices. Kate works at both Inglewood and Waitara Clinics. Outside of work Kate enjoys spending time with her young family and horse riding.



  • B.Sc, BVSc

    Kath graduated in 1984 from Massey University. Born and bred in Stratford where she worked in mixed practice in the area for about 18 years before moving to New South Wales in Australia in 2002 to work as a companion animal vet. Kath has two adult children; Laura, a professional soccer player and University student in Melbourne and Duncan doing a Paramedic Degree in Brisbane. Kath has returned to live in Waitara with her horse Grace. Interests include riding, running, beach, kayaking, gardening, reading and movies.

    Kylie Joined the EVT Team in March 2005 as the friendly voice answering the after-hours phones. Later that year she joined the reception team in Inglewood and has since progressed to her current role as Clinic Services Manager. Kylie enjoys liaising with staff, reps and clients alike. When Kylie is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, husband Dougal, and children Jake, Nic and Myah, as well as breeding and riding horses.



  • National Cert in Vet Nursing

    Lauren joined the EVT team in August 2011 as a Receptionist and then Reception Supervisor. She is a qualified Veterinary Nurse and started her role as Vet nurse Supervisor for both clinics in May 2017. She has a special interest in small animal nutrition and pet care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her 4 fur babies Odie, Martha, Alfie and Sookie. She also enjoys reading, movies, trying new foods and quality time with friends and family.

    Lauren started with Energy Vets 2014 and is based at both the Waitara and Inglewood clinics in reception. Prior to working at Energy Vets she was dairy farming in both Taupo and Taranaki. Lauren enjoys working with people and being able to help them with their specific needs. Outside work, Lauren enjoys tramping and spending time with family and friends as well as being with her crazy fur babies.

    Leslie started working for Energy Vets in 2004 and is based in the Waitara Clinic. Prior to this she worked for the North Taranaki Vet Group before the two clinics amalgamated. In fact she has been involved with the clinic since she left school! Leslie enjoys dealing with the public and their furry companions. In her spare time, Leslie works out at the gym, enjoys being with family and friends, and spending time with her little grandson.

    Lisa started with Energy Vets in 2007 as a receptionist at the Inglewood Branch. She later left for maternity leave in 2011 to have Monte with husband Greg. Lisa returned to the EVT team later that year, behind the scenes in an administration and invoicing role. Lisa is also one of our dog groomers which she loves. She is married to Greg Hall (GM) and juggles her job with 3 children, a Lifestyle Block and too many horses and ponies!

    Lois has been a receptionist at Energy Vets since October 2017. Lois has more recently been a cafe owner and a DOC Ranger. She has also been dairy farming with husband David for 35 years. Lois enjoys cooking, tramping, playing music and loves hanging out with her 4 adult children.

    Mary started work as a Management PA in 2012. Her role is varied and involves financial administration, keeping the computers and telecommunications running, liaising with outside contractors and dealing with the mountains of correspondence that comes through the door for management. Outside work, Mary enjoys spending time with pets, family and friends.



  • BVet Med

    Matt qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 1990. After working in a mixed, primarily equine clinic in the UK he moved with his family to New Zealand in 2008, joining Energy Vets in 2011. As part of the large animal team here he is mainly involved with the equine side of the clinic, covering all aspects of equine work.

    Outside work, Matt can generally be found providing veterinary and farriery assistance to his daughter’s 2 horses, or acting as taxi driver and manager for his son’s cycling and adventure racing activities. Very occasionally, when all his jobs are done, he is allowed to ride a horse and bike himself. Neither of which, according to his children, he does very well.

    Michelle graduated from Massey University in 2012 and has been with Energy Vets since. She mainly works with dairy cattle but also enjoys seeing a variety of farm animals. Her main interests are ruminant nutrition and calf rearing, for which she is currently doing extra study. Outside work, Michelle enjoys playing netball, spending time on her partners’ dairy farm and adding various animal species to her collection.

    Taranaki born and bred Monica joined the Energy Vets team in 2015 as a Receptionist. Monica has had experience in the dairy industry having been a sharemilker for 18 years. Now she is enjoying the townie life and trying to keep up with her two boys and still smiling!

    Nola began working for Energy Vets in 2001 as a receptionist at the Inglewood Branch. She has since moved into an administrative role although still assists in reception. Outside work, Nola is involved in Search & Rescue, is a keen mountain biker, plays squash and is also competing or trekking her horses with her fiancée Robin. Nola is responsible for encouraging staff to compete in the Annual Round the Mountain bike rides and local mud runs. Nola is also very keen on finding the best cafes the Naki has to offer.

    Paul joined Energy Vets in April 2003 after 14 years working for another practice. Paul has the position of Sales & Marketing so is out and about on the road promoting our products and services. Outside work, Paul is a keen golf player at the Strathmore Golf Club and is also involved with the Stratford Bridge Club. Paul also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

    Peter joined the team in Inglewood in December 2003, and has been based in the Waitara Clinic since 2008. In 2009 he became a shareholder and director. His main area of work is in Dairy medicine, with particular interest in lameness and facial eczema, but he also has interest in Goat and Pig medicine. When not at work he spends most of his time in family activities with his wife Angie and four children.

    Robyn joined Energy Vets in 2009 as a large animal vet. She is based in Inglewood, predominantly working with dairy cattle. Robyn enjoys all aspects of cattle medicine, especially young stock health and has an interest in goat medicine. Outside work, Robyn enjoys rock climbing and tramping.

    Sandra joined the EVT team in 2004 as a receptionist and worked there for 12 months before moving into her current position of Accounts Manager. Born and bred in Inglewood, Sandra and her husband spent 7 years in dairying with their own herd in the Stratford area before returning to Inglewood with their family and now she enjoys the delights of owning only two four-legged animals (of the canine variety).

    Stephan and his family moved to New Zealand in 2015 and joined the Waitara Small Animal Clinic. Stephan came to us from his own small animal clinic in South Africa where he also owned a lifestyle block with his family. Stephan also has a background in research and brings some new skill sets to our clinic. Stephan, his wife Anne (also a vet) and daughter Erica are enthusiastic about their new home in Taranaki.

    Tegan was born in Taranaki and has always had a passion for animals. Tegan started at Energy Vets in 2013 as a Veterinary Nurse based at the Inglewood clinic but can be seen at the Waitara clinic at times. Outside work, Tegan enjoys spending time with her cats, dogs and horse and her friends and family.

    Tracey joined Energy Vets in 2006. She is part of the Administration team which handles Energy Vets extensive paper trail. Outside work, Tracey enjoys any chance to travel, loves our local beaches and spending time with family and friends.

    Paige has a big passion for animals and joined Energy Vets in 2019, starting with doing placement at the Inglewood clinic for her diploma study and then joining the team shortly after in Waitara. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her dog Lilly, reading, watching movies and going on spontaneous adventures to see new things.

    Stephanie started as a student at Energy Vets in February 2019. She took on a casual position in the Waitara clinic early June, and is currently working towards finishing her diploma. Born and raised in Taranaki, Stephanie enjoys hanging out with her friends and two cats, Mortimer and Evie.

    David is from a beef and sheep farm in the middle of Ireland. He graduated from vet school in Dublin in May 2013 and spend three and a half years working in a mixed practice in Co. Derry, Northern Ireland. David moved to New Zealand in January 2017 and started working here in March, initially as a locum for three months. He returned in July 2017 for calving season and has been here ever since! David's veterinary interests include bovine surgery, preventative medicine and fertility. Outside of work he enjoys various sports including football, rugby, fishing, tennis and golf, travelling and socialising with friends.



  • BVSc, BApplSc, MANZCVS, DipHBM

    Having relocated to Taranaki when her husband Keith was transferred here, experienced equine vet Rabecca McKenzie (Bex) has joined us at EVT to help cater to our expanding equine clientèle. Bex has spent all her veterinary career in Matamata at a specialist equine referral practice and has post graduate qualifications in Equine medicine, bringing many new clinical skills and techniques to the practice. Bex is an energetic vet who is heavily involved in Crossfit competition and coaching in her spare time.



  • MVB

    Emma joined us from Dublin, Ireland in 2017 after graduating from the University College of Dublin. Emma is enthusiastic about her career in Taranaki which she describes as the best part of New Zealand! In her spare time she enjoys travelling, reading, socialising with friends and all things outdoorsy! Her veterinary interests lie in calf rearing and preventative medicine. You may also spot her in the small animal clinic from time to time!

    Tayla was born and bred in New Plymouth. She joined the EVT small animal team as a Diploma Veterinary Nurse in December 2018. Apart from her love for animals, she has a passion for snowboarding, skating and surfing.
