Energy Vets Taranaki Ltd
Energy Vets Taranaki: We're here to help your pet stay happy and healthy.
We are still seeing injured wild birds at this time but please give us a call before you bring them to the clinic. Once here, stay in your car and call us so that we can then triage it. Any sick wild birds please do not move them from their location and call MPI.
If you have your own birds that are sick or injured please call our clinic to make an appointment. Please stay in your car and call us to inform us of your arrival and we will have a vet come out to you to triage them.
HPAI H5N1 (H5 high pathogenicity avian influenza) has a low human health risk, however it can be spread to those working closely with sick birds. Dogs and cats can also contract the disease so it is a good idea to limit exposure to sick wild birds where possible.
At EVT we understand how hard our farmers work at getting the cows in calf each spring. We also understand how to achieve results.
There is no quick fix and work often needs to be done on many fronts to achieve consistently good results. Low empty rates and high 6-week in-calf rates are only part of the picture. To achieve industry targets requires attention to all 8 parts of the “In-calf” project picture. We can evaluate your reproductive performance and target areas where you may find you get the best gains for your efforts. Talk to us about what you want to achieve in your herd and we will work with you to put in place a plan to achieve those goals.
