Melanie joined EVT in March 2023. She has been farming since she was 15 years old, including dry stock sheep and beef; milking goats with her husband for 10 years; town supply milking and main calf rearer. Melanie then gained a diploma in vet nursing level six, then taught NCAT veterinary assist Level 5 at UCOL in Palmerston North. She now lives in Ratapiko with her husband, two dogs, two cats, two chickens and two guinea pigs plus they milk 100 jersey cows!
